The Old Town and the Angevin-Aragonese Castle
The beating heart of the city. To get there, you’ll have to climb the famous “Scaloni,” the monumental stairway that offers picture-perfect views. Once at the top, wander through the narrow streets of the medieval town until you reach the castle: the view of the Gulf of Salerno from here is simply breathtaking.
Trentova Bay
A true paradise for nature lovers. This bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasts crystal-clear waters and fragrant Mediterranean scrub. It’s the ideal place for a sunny morning or a hike along the coastal trails.
The Tourist Port
One of the largest and best equipped in the area. It is the perfect place for a walk at sunset, an aperitif watching the boats returning or to embark towards the sea caves and the splendid Punta Licosa.
The Rock of Saint Francis
Legend has it that Saint Francis of Assisi, during one of his journeys, stopped here to speak to the fish. Today, on this rock near the port, stands a striking cross. It is a peaceful place where the sound of the sea is the only protagonist.
